Innovation and Technology at BAT: Visorial Revolutionizes Commerce with Augmented Reality
Bilbao, September 23, 2024
The BAT Tower, a hub of entrepreneurship in Bizkaia, continues to establish itself as an international benchmark following the inauguration of five new floors that double its capacity, creating an even more favorable environment for innovation and business collaboration. During the opening event, Lehendakari Imanol Pradales, General Deputy Elixabete Etxanobe, and Bilbao’s Mayor Juan Mari Aburto had the opportunity to try out the innovative Visorial application, developed by the company Zyonia. This app combines artificial intelligence and augmented reality to transform the shopping experience, offering photorealistic quality that allows users to interact with a wide range of products, from food and vehicles to furniture and more.
Visorial stands out for its ability to display products with an exceptional level of detail, almost indistinguishable from reality. From the texture of a fruit to the finishes of a car, and the intricate design of furniture, the app provides a visual experience that surpasses most current e-commerce platforms. “The level of realism we achieve with Visorial completely changes the way consumers interact with products. Now, the buyer can see even the tiniest detail of what they are purchasing, as if it were right in front of them,” commented Marco Besteiro, CEO of Zyonia.
From BeXreal, close collaborators of Zyonia, highlighted the importance of collaboration within the ecosystem of the BAT: “We are very comfortable in the tower. We are doing a collaboration bringing together our technologies, ranging from artificial intelligence and the twins are digital until really extended and avatars hyper. We have developed projects that are having a lot of success, as Visorial, AIRz and others. The collaboration is in our DNA; we are members of many clusters sectoral because we see many synergies.”
The importance of the international reach of the Zyonia-BeXreal tandem was also highlighted, as they recently presented their products in Silicon Valley at one of the world's largest technology events. “We really enjoy building bridges between Euskadi and the world. Here at BAT, we can connect with corporations, other startups, universities, and tech centers, leading to very exciting collaborations. These connections are essential for innovation and growth.”
For his part, Lehendakari Imanol Pradales emphasized during the event that “the result of connectivity at BAT is extraordinary today: entrepreneurial people and companies connecting with others and driving the creation of new businesses and jobs in a dynamic and increasingly international environment. Euskadi and our companies must look more and more to the world. Without complexes. Without constraints. With the aspiration to be where we can defend our interests and strengthen our own position. Also with the goal of attracting talent, investment, and new companies to our country.”
With this expansion and the incorporation of companies like Zyonia, BeXreal, Lookiero, and BBVA Technology, BAT is positioning itself as a key hub for creating synergies between technology, industry, and society. The BAT Tower not only offers modern and functional spaces but also facilitates meetings and collaboration among the most dynamic firms in the technology landscape.
